Leviticus 15:14 Then on the eighth day he shall take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the Lord to the doorway of the tent of meeting and give them to the priest;

Psalm 55:6 I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.

Matthew 3:16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him,

Numbers 6:10 Then on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the doorway of the tent of meeting.

A dove in the Bible means new beginnings, new possibilities, new creation, the presence of God. Genesis 6-9 tells the story of the great flood when Our Heavenly Father tells Noah to build an ark so that Noah's family and a lot of God's creatures might be saved for a new creation.
One creature was the dove, seen many times to show Our Heavenly Father’s long-reaching presence, security, and the promise of hope. It is also one of the forms which the Holy Spirit takes when He appears in a more physical way upon the earth. The dove is a symbol of a quiet spirit. It let Jesus Christ know to tell his disciples to be aware of the evil in the world. When sending them out to teach the gospel, he warned them of future issues: “See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves”.
There are many good things that are associated with white doves: hope, honesty, peace, and love are only a few. In the Bible, the white dove was often used as a symbol for the Holy Spirit, bringing messages to the Our Heavenly Father’s people from heaven. Many times Our Heavenly Father is described as the light. The manner of the coming of the spirit was like of a dove.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father give us strength to think clearly, speak freely, and act boldly in your service. Give us the courage to show the dove in a world so full of serpents. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
