Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Our Lord and on earth by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to why is poetry important in the bible. November 20, 2023.
Poetry in the bible can help children understand it by being taught how Our Heavenly Father cares about his people. He wishes people of all ages to talk to him. Let him know how you are feeling and how he wants you to trust him in any time good and bad. We should also remember this week the importance of being thankful to the lord. Poetry also helps with praising Our Heavenly Father for what he does for us. The same goes for music and singing. The book of Psalms teaches in Poetry how to sing and worship Our Heavenly Father.
Psalm 23 A song of David
The Lord the Shepherd A song of David. 23 The Lord is my shepherd. I have everything I need. 2 He gives me rest in green pastures. He leads me to calm water. 3 He gives me new strength. For the good of his name, he leads me on paths that are right. 4 Even if I walk through a very dark valley, I will not be afraid because you are with me. Your rod and your shepherd’s staff comfort me. 5 You prepare a meal for me in front of my enemies. You pour oil of blessing on my head.[a] You give me more than I can hold. 6 Surely your goodness and love will be with me all my life. And I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly, you are our shepherd, our Good Shepherd. You give us everything we need and more than we want. All we need in life is you, plus what you choose to give us. We thank you for all you do for us. We pray that all who read this lesson and that is read to understand it. We pray that The Holy Spirit will help them understand it. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
