Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Our Lord and on earth by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss Written by Raynette K. Weiss and Jessie K. Weiss. What are the colors of New Year’s and what they mean to Our Heavenly Father. Wednesday December 27, 2023.
The two colors for New Years are purple and white.
Revelation 6:2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
Mark 16:5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
John 20:12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
Acts: 1-10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
Revelation 4:4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.
Lesson: COLORS FOR THE AME CHRISTIAN YEAR In the Christian year of our church, we recognize two cycles: the Christmas Cycle (Advent-Christmas-Epiphany) and the Easter Cycle (Lent-Easter-Pentecost). Within each cycle are a preparatory season symbolized by the color purple and a festival season symbolized by the color white. Purple is often associated with royalty and power, signifying the divine authority and connection between God and His people. It represents faith, obedience, and spirituality. In the Old Testament, purple symbolizes wealth and royalty. The most common meaning of white is that it represents righteousness or pretending to be so (Revelation 6:2). It can symbolize purity, wisdom, holiness or dedication to God (Mark 16:5, John 20:12, Acts 1:10, Revelation 4:4, 19:14). The color white reminds us of the righteousness of Christ. He is pure light and pure righteousness and when a sinner comes to Him in faith He washes them clean. Isaiah 1:18 …though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. White is the presence of all the light in the visible spectrum. Clouds and snow appear as white because almost all of the sun’s light is reflected by the water in the clouds and snow. Only a very small amount of the visible spectrum is absorbed.
Closing Prayer: We hope that everyone reads this lesson enjoys it and has rest by it and peace. We pray this in Our lord and savior’s name.
Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
