Opening Hymn: I am a child of God by Naomi Randal:

I Am a Child of God
31243, Hymns, I Am a Child of God, no. 301
1. I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.
[Chorus]
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.
2. I am a child of God,
And so my needs are great;
Help me to understand his words
Before it grows too late.
3. I am a child of God.
A lot of blessings are in store;
If I learn to do his will
I'll live with him once more.

This week we discussed how Our Heavenly Father wants us to have fun and praise him. Praise opens up communication to Our Heavenly Father. A good way to have fun and praise is to dance and sing. Our country’s independence is celebrated on July 4th. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have fun but also spend time with him too. It is a day where we also celebrate how Jesus freed us from sin.
King David’s sons were put into groups and were told to help keep ministry going and many armies strong in case of a fight between other countries.Obed-Edom became the guard of the South Gate of the temple, and his sons were put in charge of the storehouse.The leader of the Reubenites was Eliezer and Shephatiah was over the Simeonites. Hashabiah was in charge of Levi, Elihu over Judah, Ishmaiah over Zebulum, Jerimoth over Naphtali, Hoshea over the Ephraimites, Iddo over Manasseh, Jaasiel over Benjamin, and Azarel over the tribe of Dan.Then David addresses his son directly: Remember, Solomon, stay faithful to God.

Closing Hymn; Mighty army of the young by John P. Colton;
1 Mighty army of the young,
Lift the voice in cheerful song,
Send the welcome word along,
Jesus lives!
Once he went to Heaven for you and me,
Put our sins on the tree,
Now he lives to make us free,
Jesus lives!
Chorus:
Wait not till the shadows lengthen, till you older grow,
Rally now and sing for Jesus, ev'rywhere you go;
Lift your joyful voices high,
Ringing clear thro' earth and sky,
Let the blessed tidings fly, Jesus lives!
Wait not till the shadows lengthen, till you older grow,
Rally now and sing for Jesus, ev'rywhere you go;
Lift your joyful voices high,
Ringing clear thro' earth and sky,
Let the blessed tidings fly, Jesus lives!
2 Tongues of children happy and free,
Tongues of youth all full of glee,
Sing to all on land and sea,
Jesus lives!
Light for you and all mankind,
Sight for all by sin made blind,
Life in Jesus all may find,
Jesus lives! [Chorus]
3 Jesus lives, O blessed words!
King of kings and Lord of lords!
Lift the cross and the swords,
Jesus lives!
See, He breaks the prison wall,
once for all,
Jesus lives! [Chorus]

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, help us to serve you with a good heart and with a right mind. With minds that are focused to your word and obedient and willing to obey all your ways. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
