Jacob Has a Thankful Heart.
Read Genesis 47:27-48:7 47:27 The Israelites continued to live in the land of Goshen in Egypt. There they got possessions. They had many children and grew in number. 48:7 When I came from Northwest Mesopotamia, Rachel went to Heaven in the land of Canaan. We were traveling toward Ephrath. This made me very sad.
Jacob had a really interesting life. At one time he did not tell the truth to people, but that changed when he decided to be a servant to Our Heavenly Father. His son later was living a life being a slave in the country of Egypt.
At one time Jacob believed his son was not around anymore, but one day he and his brother Joseph found each other while in Egypt. Jacob was a bit old then. Jacob one day got his son to come to him. He sat and talked to him for a bit.
Jacob told his son about how Our Heavenly Father came to him in Bethel and gave him a blessing. It was in Canaan.
The gift that Jacob was given was to be able to have a big family and the land of canaan was given to him.
Genesis 48:3-4 48:3 Jacob said to Joseph, God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me. 48:4 and said to me, I am going to make you fruitful and increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.
Jacob was very thankful to Our Heavenly Father for changing his life and the gifts he gave. He would praise and bless Our Heavenly Father everyday.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, please give us the power to stay away from things that are not like you and do what is of your plans for us. Just as Joseph did with his brothers, help us to show compassion and forgiveness towards those who have wronged us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
