A lesson about forgiveness.
Forgiveness means you choose not to pay someone back when they hurt you. We should forgive because Jesus forgives us. Colossians 3:13.
When someone hurts someone intentionally or by accident. That person that got hurt has to forgive the person that did the act to them sometime down the road of life. Just like Our Heavenly Father will forgive you just by asking him to forgive you. He likes us to be like him down here on earth as much as possible. That is not that easy to do. It can be done however. When you make a mistake, immediately pray and ask for forgiveness and really mean it. It also is important when you do ask for forgiveness, you really mean it, and try real hard not to repeat the act.
Matthew 6:14-15 14 Yes, if you forgive others for the things they do wrong, then your Father in heaven will also forgive you for the things you do wrong. 15 But if you don’t forgive the wrongs of others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrong things you do.
Luke 6:37 37 “Don’t judge other people, and you will not be judged. Don’t accuse others of being guilty, and you will not be accused of being guilty. Forgive other people, and you will be forgiven.
Colossians 3:13 13 Do not be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, then forgive him. Forgive each other because the Lord forgave you.
Closing prayer; Heavenly Father we pray that these young children learn to forgive one another like we did in our generations, and have fun doing it. We pray whoever reads it to them understands it as well, if they need to be read to. if they do not understand, that the Holy Spirit and Jesus will help them understand. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
