A special thanksgiving poem

Most of us would like to move beyond the turkey and teach our children what it means to be thankful. The Bible tells us to “give thanks to the Lord, for he is good” and to “enter his gates with thanksgiving” (Psalm 107:1, Psalm 100:4).
Psalm 107:1 Thank the Lord because he is good.
His love continues forever.
Psalm 100;4 Come into his city with songs of thanksgiving.
Come into his courtyards with songs of praise.
Thanksgiving Poem;
We Thank Thee by Ralph Waldo Emerson;
For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
For blue of stream and blue of sky;
For pleasant shade of branches high;
For fragrant air and cooling breeze;
For beauty of the blooming trees,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we pray that these children that get read to or read it themselves understand and enjoy the special lesson with the poem and picture. We also pray that everyone gets closer to you, and that nature is important for children. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
